Experience a sacred 6 Nights / 7 Days Amarnath Yatra through the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, trekking via Pahalgam,Sonamarg, Gulmarg, Chandanwari, Sheshnag, and Panchtarni to seek the divine blessings at the Holy Amarnath Cave, while enjoying the serene beauty of Kashmir.
Pickup from Jammu railway station / airport & leave for Pahalgam the distance is 300kms which will be cover in 9 to 11 hrs on the way you can stop for lunch at Patnitop & on arrival at Pahalgam check in hotel over night at pahalgam.
After-breakfast..drive.from..pahalgam to chandanwari. The distance from Pahalgam to Chandanwari is 16km. The route is good The trail runs along the Lidder River . The route is scenic. Food is available here. Pilgrims camp at Chandanwari & proceed further from Chandanwari one climbs a height to reach Pissu Top is 3 km. It is said that to be first to reach for darshan of Bhole Nath Shivshankar there was a war between Devtas and Rakshas . With the power of Shiv , devtas could kill the rakshas in such large number that the heap of their dead bodies has resulted in this high mountain on arrival at Pissu top here can stop & rest for while & have some food or soups & chips & after proceed towards Sheshnag trek of 09 kms from Pissu top. Through Pissu Top and spectacular, primeval countryside, and reaches Sheshnag – a mountain which derives its name from its Seven Peaks, resembling the heads of the mythical snake. The Journey to Sheshnag follows steep inclines on the right bank of a cascading stream and wild scenery untouched by civilisation. The 1st night camp at Sheshnag overlooks the deep blue waters of Sheshnag lake, and glaciers beyond it. There are legends of love and revenge too associated with Sheshnag, and at the camp these are narrated by campfires. The stillness of a pine scented Himalayan night increases your inner joy. Yatris can take bath and get their fatigue alleviated. It is beautiful and scenic & overnight in Sheshnag.
After breakfast leave From Sheshnag tp panchtarni is 12 km & one has to climb steep height up across Mahagunas Pass at 4276 mtrs.(14000 ft) for 4.6 KM and then descending to the meadow lands of Panchtarni at a height of 3657 mtrs (12000 ft). The last camp enroute to the Holy Cave is made here on 2nd day. Here one faces cold winds which cause the skin to crack . Hence cold cream / Vaseline are very useful for protection of skin. Some Yatris are also effected by deficiency of oxygen .Some may get the feeling of vomiting . So dry fruit like Allu Bukhara ,sour and sweet eatables like Lemon are useful to control these symptoms . The route to Mahagunas is full of rivulets , water falls , springs . Panchtarni is a very beautiful place in the feet of BHAIRAV MOUNT. Five Rivers flow here . It is said that the five rivers origanated from Lord Shiva's Hairs (Jataon) & overnight in panchtarni.
Leave early morning for Amarnath Holy cave (3953 M) where you can see Ice Lingam. This is the holy cave for Hindus and thousands of people visit the place during the full moon day . The Holy Cave of Shri Amarnath is only 6 kms from Panchtarni. As there is no place to stay hence the pilgrims start in the early hours of the morning after their stay at Panchtarni. On the way to The Holy Cave one comes across the Sangam of Amravati and Panchtarni. Some pilgrims take bath at Amravati near holy cave to become pious before going for Darshan. Near the cave is found white soil known as Bhasam. It is the most beloved soil of Shiv ji . The pilgrims apply this Holy soil to their body and then go for Shivlingam Darshan. There are two smaller Shivlings one of Maa Parvati and other of Shri Ganesh & after darshan from Amarnath steep descend towards to Baltal 4 hours walk & on arrival at baltal drive to srinagar via Sonamarg & overnight in srinagar.
After breakfast drive to Gulmarg (known as meadows of flowers). The distance of 60Kms, will be 2 hrs drive, the places to visit in gulmarg: Kongdori, Khilanmarg, Alpathar Lake, Maharani Temple, Ningli Nalla Golf Course, St. Mary Church to visit all these places if the weather permits & Also, while in Gulmarg don't forget to pay your respects at the famous Shrine of Baba Reshi, a Muslim saint.
Gulmarg: - Gulmarg is a town, a hill station, a popular skiing destination. The town is situated in the Pirpanjal range & legendary beauty, its prime location and its proximity to Srinagar naturally make it one of the premier hill resorts in country originally named Gaurimarg mouth a moat indicates the dividing it was renamed Gulmarg in the 16th century by Sultan Yusuf Shah, who was inspired by the sight of its grassy slopes emblazoned with wild flowers. Gulmarg was a favorite haunt of Emperor Jahangir who once collected 21 different varieties of flowers. Today Gulmarg is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty it also has the highest green golf course in the world, at an attitude of 2,650 metres (8,690 ft) above sea level, and is the country's prime ski resort in the winter. Evening return back to Srinagar & overnight stay at srinagar.
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, famously known as the “Meadow of Gold.” En route, enjoy the breathtaking views of lush green valleys, snow-capped mountains, and the picturesque landscapes of Kashmir.
Upon arrival, explore the natural beauty of Sonamarg surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks. You can enjoy optional activities such as a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier (at your own cost) and spend leisure time amidst the scenic meadows and flowing streams.
In the evening, return to Srinagar after a memorable day amidst nature’s beauty. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.
Morning After breakfast, transfer will be given to Srinagar airport to board your flights for onwards destination our service terminates here.
