Overview of Tour

Amritsar, the spiritual and cultural heart of Punjab, is a city rich in history, devotion, and vibrant heritage. Home to the Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), the holiest shrine of Sikhism, Amritsar welcomes visitors with an open heart, offering a soulful experience that leaves a lasting impression.

The Golden Temple itself is a masterpiece of architecture, draped in gold leaf and surrounded by a sacred pool of nectar (Amrit Sarovar). The temple operates one of the world’s largest community kitchens (Langar), serving free, hot meals to over 100,000 visitors daily regardless of religion, caste, or background, symbolizing unity and equality.

Beyond the Golden Temple, Amritsar holds deep historical significance. Sites like Jallianwala Bagh stand as reminders of India’s struggle for independence, while the daily Wagah Border beating retreat ceremony showcases the high-stepping, energetic military rivalry and patriotism between India and Pakistan.

Amritsar is also a paradise for food lovers, famous for its rich culinary heritage, including buttery kulchas, lassi, and traditional dhabas. This tour offers a complete immersion into the spiritual, historical, and delicious aspects of Punjab’s most iconic city.
