Also known as the Royal Spring, Chashme Shahi was built in 1632 by Ali Mardan Khan under the orders of Emperor Shah Jahan as a gift for his son, Prince Dara Shikoh. It is renowned for its natural spring, terraced gardens, and panoramic views.
Popularly known as the “Palace of Fairies,” Pari Mahal is a seven-terraced garden situated on the Zabarwan hills overlooking Dal Lake and Srinagar city. Built by Prince Dara Shikoh in the mid-1600s, it served as his residence, library, and a centre for learning astronomy and astrology.
Situated atop Shankaracharya Hill at an elevation of approximately 1,000 feet above the city, this ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva offers spectacular panoramic views of Srinagar and Dal Lake.
